DNC--Senator Obama's Speech

If you didn't get a chance to hear Barack Obama's speech tonight, do yourself a favor--find it and listen. I've rarely, if ever, heard something so inspiring.

That speech was something, wasn't it? I've got to say, the man looked and sounded, well, presidential...

I also was quite impressed. The difference that has really stood out for me between Obama and McCain has been that Obama has a passion in his voice and a look in his eyes that is more.... believable? I don't know, it just seems like it is more than a speech. I did find all of the comparisions being drawn between Obama and Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. a bit of a stretch. I think sometimes people foget that Rev. King was not a politician, but someone who had a radical belief that changed lives, he believed that we should love everyone just as Jesus loved, regardless of any difference. Once again, being American and being Christian are not necessarily the same thing.

The way he talks remindsme of how Bush talked about going to war. His charismatic way is without fault. But I wasn't impressed. Inspiring would be if he was in a room full of Republicans and they reacted the same way. He was preaching to the choir..... "Resident Amen-ers"
